Easy Meeting Recording on a Mac

Screen recording your Zoom call or other meeting and getting it into Myna on a Mac is easy.

Prerequisites:

  1. Dropbox App
  2. MeetMyna connected to Dropbox

Firstly, make sure you have the Dropbox app installed, otherwise you can't get the data to us.  You will have a folder on your computer called "Dropbox" if you have.  If you don't know or can't see the folder, go to https://www.dropbox.com/install to get the app.

Also, make sure you have connected your Dropbox to Myna (you can check here).

And as a final check, go into the "Apps" folder in Dropbox, and make sure you have a "MeetMyna" folder in there.

Start Recording

To open the dialog box, you can either use Shift-Command-5 or hold down your mouse on the QuickTime Player icon. Then select New Screen Recording.

When the dialog box opens, select Options and make sure that MacBook Air Microphone is selected. This will ensure your audio and the audio on your call is recorded too.

Save Recordings

In Options you can also select where you want your screen recording to be saved. To get your recordings into Myna automatically select the “MeetMyna” path under “Apps” in “Dropbox”

Select what to record

In the centre of the dialog box you can select whether you want to record the whole screen or a portion of the screen.

Once chosen, either select Record or click anywhere on screen (your mouse should be a camera icon)

Now, you have started screen recording. You should see a small recording icon appear in your menu bar at the top of your screen.

To stop screen recording, either click on this icon in your menu bar or use Shift-Command-5 again and select Stop Screen Recording in the centre of the dialog box.
