The SmartTranscript is the very core of what we do. It has a transcript, automatic topics, your video, the text from your slides, and loads of other cool features.
you get a tour the very first time you use a SmartTranscript, and so will anyone you send it to as well. But in case you forget, let's run through some of the core features:
Your SmartTranscript will be attached to your email, or be in Dropbox, or both if you want. It will look something like this on the desktop. We deal with the differences for mobile below:
Left hand side
These are automatically generated topics based on what was said in the meeting. If you click on one, it will take you to 5 seconds before it was said. A quick scan down these topics gives you a good idea what the meeting is about
If someone was sharing content in the meeting, then you will get automatically generated topics from that as well. Click to jump to where the content is shown, and click on the SmartSnap tab to see the content in text form
You can select up to 25 custom topics of your own from the Myna backend. If any of them are said in your meeting, you will see them here. "Add custom Topic" takes you to your preferences page, where you can add a custom topic:
If you have presented any text content (like a slideshow), we try to tell where you move from one topic to the next. Click on a chapter to jump to where it starts:
Here you have your video playback window, details of who is in the meeting, and the title and time of the meeting. If you want a bit more space on the screen, you can click in the top right hand corner of the screen:
And the video will pop down to the far right-hand corner of the screen
Right hand side
This is your transcript. Where we have speaker information, we will show it on the screen. The host will always be in yellow.
Editing the Transcript
You can edit the transcript really easily by hovering over the pane you want to edit, and clicking on the little pencil:
When you're done, click "Save":
Make sure you click the button at the bottom when you have done all of your edits. This will save a new copy of the transcript for you
Searching the text
You will see a search bar at the top which lets you search for content:
You will see the number of results towards the right-hand side:
You may sometimes find that we show a search match even when it is not in the text. That is because the system has found an "alternative", so something it thought might have been said when it is not sure. This is a great way of making sure that we don't miss important content in your meetings.
We can't remember who thought that name up either....
This is the text that has been screen shared in your meeting, like this:
You can use the search bar to find any content just like with the SmartScript
Pretty standard (left to right):
Rewind, play/pause, fast forward, mute/unmute
Shows when someone is talking, where you are in the file, and how long the file is
Whether or not to show timestamps against the transcript
For the moment, the only setting change that you get by clicking is to change the playback speed:
The button will save a copy of the SmartTranscript if you have made edits
This is the biggest change to the desktop. Because it is tough to see the topics and the transcript at the same time, captions are enabled by default
As we scroll down, we get tags and snap tags in the same way
with the transcript and the waveform at the bottom in the usual way
