Auto-Record and Meeting Detection

Auto-Record and Meeting Detection

How Meeting Detection Works

Myna monitors your running applications to detect when you join a meeting or call. It uses process polling every 5 seconds to check for known meeting apps.

Important: Myna detects active calls, not just open applications. Simply having Zoom or Teams open will not trigger a recording — it waits until an actual call is in progress.

Enabling Auto-Record

  1. Open Myna and go to Settings > Meeting Detection.
  2. Toggle Auto-Record on.
  3. Choose which apps to monitor (or leave all enabled).

When a meeting is detected, Myna will automatically start recording. When the meeting ends, recording stops and transcription begins in the background.

Manual Recording

Manual recording is always available, regardless of auto-record settings. Click the Record button in the main window or use the system tray menu to start and stop recordings on demand.

Calendar Integration

If you have connected your calendar, Myna cross-references detected meetings with your schedule to automatically name recordings with the meeting title and attendees.
